The predecessor of the international scientific conference “Transport Technologies and Infrastructure” are annual international scientific conferences “Development of Research and Innovative Activities in Transport” conducted at the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport since its establishment in 1930. Among the participants of conferences, there have always been professors and researchers of the university departments, leading specialists and personnel of the railways and enterprises of the industry. The conferences have been covering ever more topics which resulted in the change in the format.

Since 2004, twelve scientific conferences “International Transport Corridors and Corporate Logistics” have been held at the University, and in 2017, the thirteenth scientific international conference “International Transport Infrastructure, Industrial Centers and Corporate Logistics” was conducted. Department of Economics, Industrial and Commercial Business Management organized the conference.

In order to discuss the urgent issues of the design, operation, maintenance and repair of the railway rolling stock, in 2007 and 2008, the University held the scientific conferences “Rolling Stock and Traffic Safety in Transport” and “Rolling stock and Special Transport Machinery“. Department “Rolling Stock Operation and Repair” organized the conferences.

The issues of reliability of railway machinery and equipment, use of the state-of-the-art materials and technologies in transport were discussed at the scientific conferences “New technologies, equipment, materials in construction and transport” and “Industrial hydraulics and pneumatics”, which took place at the University in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Department “Construction, Track and Freight Handling Machines” organized the conferences.

In 2017, the scientific conference “Modern innovative and information technologies in the transportation of hazardous cargo” was held at the University.

The above conferences were supported by the University administration, Ukrzaliznytsya PJSC, Transport Academy of Ukraine, with the participation of Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (France), Institute of automatic control telematics of transport (Poland), St.-Petersburg State Transport University (Russia), Belorussian State Transport University (Byelorussia), other institutions and enterprises, such as Association of Specialists “Industrial Hydraulics and Pneumatics”, Business Community Assembly, Kyiv Central Design Bureau of Valves, MVO Invest LLC, DENIOS Sp.z o.o., Sophisticated Systems BV, RWA, «West Way», Ukrainian Repair and Construction Enterprise Koliya CJSC, UBC-Promo LLC, „Prime” First transport company, and many others.

Leading researchers, representatives of the railways, transport institutions and enterprises from Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, and France, attended the conference. The selected articles of the conferences were published in the subject publications of the same name or in the corresponding sections of the Collected Papers of UkrSURT (issues 160, 163, 169) and special releases of the collection “Bulletin of the Transport and Industry Economics” (issues 50, 54, 58).
